＜動く＞、＜動かす＞、to move、Let the chair move. は可能か？

 

日本語では自動詞＜動く＞、他動詞＜動かす＞が使い分けられている。一方英語の to move は自他兼用動詞。やや現実離れしているところがあるが

椅子が動く　　The chair moves.

（誰かが、何かが）椅子を動かす  (someone, something) moves the chair.

カッコ内の（誰かが、何かが）、（someone, something）は必要で

太郎が / は椅子を動かす。Taro moves the chair.

ところで英語で

Let the chair move.　という言い方は可能か？　ビートルズの歌に＜Let it be＞というのがある。

Let the chair move.　は＜椅子を動かさす＞でもいいが、正確には＜誰かに椅子を動かさす＞の＜誰かに＞を省いたものか？

だが、これは Let someone move the chair. が正しいだろう。
