イタリア語の out

 

このポストは少し前のポスト＜out を使いこなす＞のイタリア語参照版（解説は日本語）。

最近英語の＜out ＞（副詞と前置詞用法がある）を調べている時に、参考にネットで＜out ＞のイタリア語の相当語を調べてみた。＜out＞のイタリア語相当語は＜da＞はではなく fuori だ。＜da＞は基本的には前置詞の＜から＞だ。 fuori は＜外（で、に＞という意味をもっている副詞、前置詞。これは＜out ＞と同じ。

文例が多い Reverso English- Italian には何故か out の項目がないので Collins English - Italian にあったてみた。

out は基本的には副詞なのだ。副詞の out はイタリア語では fuori 。日本語では＜外で＞ 、＜外に＞。

は解説が必要だ。

1. general
to be out and about　　essere in giro

2. "after illness"
to be out and about　　essere di nuovo in piedi

は

 

Mr Green はいない、ここにいない、本来いる場所にいない。

è uscito は＜出ている＞。

 

out with it! 　sputa fuori!  = Spit it out !

は比喩用法で

said to someone when you want that person to tell you something that they do not want you to know.

 

說出來吧！（ネット辞書の中国語訳）

 

日本語では＜吐き出す＞、場合によっては＜口を割る＞、一般的には＜口に出す＞か。

 

2. (indicating distance)

three days out from Plymouth (nautical)　 a tre giorni di navigazione da Plymouth

the boat was 10 miles out 　la barca era a 10 miglia dalla costa

最後の例は indicating distance ではない。英語の out は＜ｘｘ から離れている＞の意味があるようだ。イタリア語では lontano という語（形用詞）がある。

3. (figurative) の頭の解説は out の例文がない。

そのまま英語の out を使っている。 inv は invariable の意で out は語尾変化なしという意味。

(have appeared) (sun, moon)  splendere＝ to shine

これは英語の方は the sun (the moon) comes out, has come out. 

(flowers)　sbocciare = つぼみが開く

英語の方は the flowers come out, have come out. 

(news, secret) essere rivelato/a   revelare = to reveal 

英語の方は the news (the secret) comes out, has come out.  

(book) uscire ＝to go out, to come out 出る、出ていく、出て来る

英語の方は the book comes out, has come out. 出版される。世に出る。

(extinguished, fire, light, gas)  essere spento/a　＜－　spegnere  （to spend ではない）

日本語は＜消す＞だが、英語は off が多用される。off は＜外されている＞で、be off  でれば形容詞だろう。

イタリア語は他動詞の再帰用法で自動詞になる。＜消える＞。

 

out 以外に off の使い方に注意。

di trarne  は＜中で＞

 

I’m only out for a good time 　voglio solo divertirmi

 

これは意訳。divertirsi に be out / to go out for good time の意味はない。これは次の to be out to infinitive の意に近い。 ＜ｘｘ を求めて外に出る＞

5. 

to be out to do sth  essere deciso/a a far qc / cercare di far qc

they’re out to get me  mi danno la caccia

he’s out to make money  il suo unico scopo è quello di fare soldi

out of

 

preposition （前置詞）で ＜out of＞になっているところに注目。英語の＜out of＞は＜ｘｘ から出る、出て＞の意味がある。動詞の to go、to come に付いていろいろな意味がある。 

1. (outside, beyond)  fuori

to be out of danger   essere fuori pericolo

to disappear out of sight   sparire alla vista

to feel out of it (informal)  sentirsi escluso/a

to go out of the house   uscire di casa

to look out of the window   guardare fuori dalla finestra

to be out of sight 　non essere visibile

we’re well out of it (informal)   per fortuna ne siamo fuori

 

fuori はそのままで前置詞にもなるが、fuori ｘｘ、 fuori di ｘｘ でもいい。

 

to go out of the house   uscire di casa

 

uscire da casa    でもいい。

 

to look out of the window   guardare fuori dalla finestra

 

これは日本語では＜窓から見る＞。＜窓の外から見る＞は変だ。どこが違うかというと、＜窓の外から見る＞は身をのり出して見るの意があるか？

 

 

2. (cause, motive) per

out of curiosity   per curiosità

 

日本語では＜興味から＞が普通。

 

3. (origin, source)   da

to copy sth out of a book   copiare qc da un libro

to drink sth out of a cup   bere qc da una tazza

日本語では＜木で＞が普通。

it was like something out of a nightmare   era come in un incubo

日本語では＜悪夢の、悪夢の中の＞が普通。

to take sth out of a drawer   prendere qc da un cassetto

4. (from among)   su

1 out of every 3 smokers   1 fumatore su 3 

日本語では＜三人の内の一人＞が普通。

9 marks out of 10  9 punti su 10

日本語では＜１０点の内の９点＞が普通か。

 

この 4. (from among)   su 　は英語、イタリア語、日本語で大きく違う。

英語では＜取り出す＞、イタリア語では＜上にだす＞、日本語では＜まだ内にある＞感じだ。これはおもしろい。

5. (without)   senza

to be out of sth   essere rimasto/a senza qc

to be out of breath   essere senza fiato

to be out of petrol   essere (rimasto/a) senza benzina

it’s out of stock (business)  non è disponibile

 

wihtout はwithin と大きく違う。 to be out of sth はおもしろい表現だ。日本語では＜ｘｘ がない＞、＜ｘｘを切らしている＞。

 

to be out of sth  

essere senza  は essere senza di qc と言えるだろう。

ところで、to be out の out、essere senza の senza は形容詞のように見える。

日本語では＜ｘｘ がない＞、＜ｘｘ を切らしている＞でこれまた大きく違う言い方になる。＜ｘｘ がない＞の＜ない＞は形用詞だ。out、fuori が＜ない＞の意味をもっている。これが一番面白い問題のようだ。
